Characteristics of Pasargad Trade Center

 This trade center is in two storeys, and is located under Yadegare Emam Bridge. The site is along a bazaar, and adjacent to an urban neighborhood. It takes advantage of an experience of both urban and commercial settings simultaneously.

The Boutique

 • Name: "RANG". It stands for "RAng, Naghsh, Gozashteh" in Persian, which is equivalent to "Color, Design, Past" in English. 

• Area : This boutique has a rectangular area of 19.10 m2. The two longitudinal sides are common walls with the neighbor shops, and the other two sides are the open sides. One faces the street and the other faces the interior corridor of the trade center.

Client's Requirements

The client demanded a list of requirements for selling clothes for women: 

• Two shop windows on the two opposite sides 

• Garment racks 

• Changing room 

• Jewelry table 

• Cashier's desk 

• Side cabinets and clothes' store room

Design Goals 

The boutique is located between the interior corridor and the street walk way. The goal was both to bring indoor and outdoor experiences together inside the boutique and to fulfill the demands of the client in a uniform manner.

Another goal was to design a suspended box inside the boutique. Since the height of the boutique interior was pretty high, a smaller box inside would decrease the interior height to suit better to human scale. In order to make it a suspended one, tension cables were installed from the ceiling, and L Shaped elements were used.

Design limitation 

There is a structure brace on the interior shop window that conflicted with the facade. This conflict influenced the interior design of the stands accordingly. In response to this conflict, an innovative solution was incorporated into the design.
